Know the game
Original game or community reconstruction?
Keep Aethus’s original browser game separate from the community reconstruction so controls and guides do not get mixed up.
Aethus’s original game
The original playable entry is wow.aethus.pl. The creator updates it independently. This site’s current menu references were checked in v0.103.1 on October 20, 2026.
The nine class names, basic menu controls and save-menu notes in this guide refer to that check. They do not establish a complete-run benchmark.
The separate community reconstruction
The OutThisLife community repository explicitly describes itself as a reconstruction rather than the original project. Its setup, available maps, shortcuts and balance should not be assumed to match the live original.
How to read a guide safely
- Look for the game version and date the information was checked.
- Check whether a screenshot shows the original or the reconstruction.
- Follow current in-game prompts when a shortcut differs.
- Keep a backup before moving between browsers or builds.
Sources and scope
We checked the launcher and relevant menus. A menu check is not a complete-run benchmark. Follow current in-game prompts when the game changes.
