Azeroth Survivors Paladin build: Holy Shield example & choices
Plan an Azeroth Survivors Paladin build from Consecration. Read an attributed player example, check its limits, and keep useful run notes.
Paladin starts with Consecration in the checked original menu, which highlights holy ground effects, hammers and self-healing. That starting spell is separate from the Holy Shield direction shown in the player recording below.

Starting spell names here are standard English translations of the checked Chinese menu. Read the current game’s spell text if an update changes it.

Holy Shield is offered
Read the current card and check what support your existing setup already provides. A video showing a successful shield-focused run does not guarantee the same offer sequence or result.
You need recovery
Compare healing or defensive wording with more damage. Keep the reason for choosing it: surviving an observed situation is a more useful goal than copying an unfamiliar developed character.
Holy Shield never appears
Continue evaluating the abilities you do have. Do not treat an unavailable spell as a mandatory step or invent a reroll count that forces it to appear.
Recorded example

Whiter’s Protection Paladin example
The original description reports an Elwynn Forest clear using Holy Shield. At 6:59, the commentary describes retaliation damage, with damage reduction and healing equipment supporting survival. The recording also stresses adapting to the cards offered. It does not establish a complete item list or a fixed upgrade sequence.

A repeatable experiment for your next run
Record when Holy Shield becomes available, the supporting effects you actually choose, and whether the run reaches its region objective. If it never appears, record the alternative you used instead.
- Class, region and difficulty.
- Permanent equipment and talents already available.
- Offered cards, your choices and any missing item.
- The situation that ended the run, or the objective you reached.
This selects a class in the notebook. It does not choose upgrades or change your game save; save or export your notes when you want to keep them.
Before copying another player’s build
Check the version, region, difficulty and permanent investment. A highly developed character can perform differently from a fresh one, even with similarly named spells.
Use the current card descriptions and keep a backup before moving to another browser or build. If a guide shows different controls or maps, check whether it describes the community reconstruction rather than the original.
Common questions
Does Paladin start with Holy Shield?
The checked original character menu lists Consecration as the starting spell. Holy Shield is the focus of the linked player example, not the opening spell reference.
Will this build be selected automatically in the game?
No. These are reference notes. You still choose the cards offered in the original game, and the notebook stores only your planning text.
